The Justice Experts Philosophy

Our Mission: We seek to provide the justice information sharing community with the most sound and pragmatic assistance, planning and technical services - - delivering great value at a reasonable cost.
Our associates have spent the majority of their respective careers working toward improving public safety, through information sharing in the public sector. In the process we have each made significant strides toward achieving common standards and producing information sharing successes. As many of us have begun to close the first or second phases of our public careers (even while several of our consultants and advisors still serve in full-time criminal justice positions in state or local government) we have sought to bring both our individual and collective experience to bear upon the greater national justice community who require practical technical assistance.
It has been our experience as justice “clients” over the years that finding consultants or professional technical assistance staff that “truly” understand the justice business - - paid professionals who have actually worked in the justice community and know the pains and processes of justice information sharing - - is nearly impossible. Our associates have invested a great deal of their public careers working to help develop information, resources and standards to assist the justice information sharing community.
The commercial market has always been ready to help state and local government solve their problems. We have also learned, as criminal justice practitioners, how costly it can be to employ these commercial outfits only to discover that their staff possess little or no knowledge about the criminal justice system and its subtle processes. In the end, after a big investment of human and fiscal resources, justice clients end up paying them to learn what we already know.
Unfortunately for the justice client, the standard corporate and commercial business model is based on the concept of "increasing margin" with every engagement. Whether selling products or services, the cookie-cutter approach allows firms to re-use solutions and methodologies learned in previous justice engagements, thus re-selling these products and services at an increasing profit. This model is driven by a need to sustain a growing overhead of upper management, middle management, sales, etc., the large commercial companies will often assign the cheapest (and therefore least experienced) staff to each job - - meaning they will be consuming a good portion of your money learning about your problems, rather than solving them.

The Justice Experts Value Statement

It is our goal, at Justice Experts, to provide a vehicle for jurisdictions to find and hire experienced consultants and advisors, to obtain the appropriate skills needed, and to pay only for the time and materials needed. We also seek to partner with the qualified firms working in the justice information sharing arena to help augment their skills and products with “real subject matter expertise” in order to provide a complete depth of insight and experience for the justice client.
As current or former government career employees, we have no illusions or ambitions of becoming wealthy entrepreneurs. Rather, we hope to provide quality justice integration services, sharing our knowledge, experience and "lessons learned," while making a living. After all, we are taxpayers too.
